My thoughts on "Lost" finale - Spoilers.

First of all, I want to say that I enjoyed the ride. I liked most of the episodes of the whole series, with the exception of Season 3. I kept telling myself that there were answers to all of these questions that kept arising.

Well, the show is over and as my wife put it after watching the finale:

It feels as if "Lost" is a card game that you are playing with a 5-year old and he keeps making up rules as he goes along.

Now we know that that was exactly what it was. Were there things that got resolved in the finale? You could say so. They are all dead and they are all together now. If all you were hoping for was for all the characters to get back together and a word about what happened to them. You got it.

If you wanted answers to: what is the island? what is the smoke monster? what happens if the smoke monster leaves the island? who are the others? where did the woman who raised Jacob and "smokey" come from? who build the statue? who build the temple? what is the purpose of the temple? who are the people in the temple? what is the beef between Ben and Charles? what happened to Walter and Michael? what is the light? why can "smokey" not kill Jacob? how come Jacob leaves the island when he wants? how does Eloise know how to get back to the island? why do women who get pregnant on the island die? why are the numbers important? (Am I missing any?)

Then you are out of luck.

But, hey! everyone is dead and together! who cares about these other small questions, right?

Wrong.
